31st RCT at Chosin Reservoir
31st Infantry Regiment Association,
I would like to share several records that I obtained from NARA @ College Park, MD during one of my trips to DC while attending the Korean War POW/MIA Annual Family Briefings. I have the legal-size copies and have transferred them to computer, below. All of my records pertain to units that were with the 31st RCT at Chosin Reservoir, North Korea, Nov-50-Dec.

Charles Shaw (nephew)

Charles provided a bit more information to us

If I may share this with you. There last several years I became involved with trying to learn about a relative of mine who was assigned to the 31st Infantry Regiment during the first year of the Korean War. The relative is my uncle whom I'm named after - my dad's younger brother. My uncle was killed at the Chosin Reservoir and is still listed as MIA. My dad passed away in 1994. It was only during my search did I learn that my dad was also assigned to the 31st Regiment - Honorably Discharged in 1949 - Tec5 Clarence Edward Shaw - last unit on his DD214, HQ3/31.
