I am looking for a current copy of the 31st Inf. Rgt. history disk created by active duty soldiers at Ft. Sill. I have a copy of the 200 page book printed from the disk from 1989-90. The information in the book indicated that the disk would be updated by the active duty soldiers. I am the Vietnam era historian for the Americal Division. I have unit albums from 1968 and 1971 that include 4/31st plus battle reports (S2/S3) reports and etc covering 1967-71. Served as a helicopter crewchief supporting 4/31st Inf. Bn. around LZ West/Hiep Duc in 1968/69.

Dear Polar Bears,
I don't think you all were thanked enough for the training you all provided at USMA this past summer. I was an ROTC cadet out of Western Michigan University, and the training was second to none that I have encountered in my ROTC career. I was fortunate enough to get a slot to CFT, and wouldn't have wanted anyone else as instructors. Thank you for the invaluable knowledge provided by your troops. Giddy Up, Matthew J LaFleur |
