John Stoeffler who served with the 1st Bn, 31st Inf Regmt in Korea from '64 to '65 and his wife have established a non-profit corporation called Sweet Dreams Picture Pillows, Inc.
We make small pillows with a soft fleece back on which we print the picture of a deployed mom or dad and give these free to every child in a family whose parent has been deployed. From the letters we have received from the moms of these children we know they are making a difference in the lives of those children left behind to cope with the absence of their parent. We also had a request from the friend of a little boy whose father was KIA on March 22. The friend wrote back that the boy's mom told her, "he goes to sleep with his arm around it EVERY night, and EVERY morning, no matter how he has moved throughout the night, the jpillow is still in his arms." With this e-mail I ask if you or someone else with whom you are acquainted knows of a child whose parent is deployed that you pass this information on to them. We have shipped over 900 pillows since we began our program and are shipping over 100 per month.

SAN PEDRO 2008 REUNION - ASSISTANCE REQUESTED
I would appreciate if you could put a notice in the Reunion newsletter, if not too late. The night of the Award Ceremony Bravo Company's Richard Cecil had a 4x6 envelope with appropriately 20 CHU HOI surrender pamphlets that was left on the table when we all went to the next room to have a company photo taken.
I believe it could have been accidently picked up when the tables were cleaned. If someone found them please have them contact Richard Cecil.
